Sevim teaches a variety of outdoor classes for schools and homeschoolers, from one-hour Mommy & Me educational nature walks to five-hour outdoor skills, nature exploration classes.
She also offers skills classes and outdoor weekend retreats for women. Join the mailing list for updates on upcoming events!
For the 2025-2026 school year, Sevim will be teaching through Compass Homeschool Program, Noble Garden Academy. She also offers her own Innate Nature nature and skills classes, a secular program for elementary-aged kids, and Little Khalifas, a Muslim-focused nature class for young children that moms are welcome to attend.

Thursdays, 10:00 am -3:00 pm, all outdoors, all weather, in Clifton, VA
Eight-week outdoor programs incorporating both outdoor skills and nature education. Students will get wet and dirty, eat local plants, and use their hands. Activities include plant, animal, and fungus identification, watershed education, harvesting (primarily invasive) plants for cooking and skills, fire starting, shelter building, pottery, basket-weaving, and much, much more.

Little Khalifas Class
Little Khalifas Class
Tuesdays, 9:30 - 10:45 am, usually outdoors, except in extreme weather, in Herndon, VA
A Mommy & Me class with optional drop off, Little Khalifas offers Muslim-focused outdoor exploration that incorporates the importance of reading the Book of Nature and fulfilling the role of being a true khalifa, or steward, of the earth. Classes include nature hikes and stream study along with art, lessons in biological classification, and some simple skills.
